Children’s Museum of Phoenix: A multi-level hands-on science museum for kids.

Age recommendation: Crawling to 12

Hours: Tues – Sunday: 9am – 4pm

Cost: $14.95 for adults and children 12 months and older. (12 months and younger are free) Seniors are $13.95. There is also a membership option.

What to expect: There is a large climbing structure as soon as you enter the museum (see more in tips). Stairs or an elevator will get you to each of the levels where different rooms offer different hands-on experiences. The experiences include an art room, a kid-size play kitchen and shopping area, a race tracks for toy cars and more.

Tips: There is a preschool area designed for children 3 and under. There are baby areas for crawlers. Bring socks if you plan to enjoy these areas.

Parents are not permitted to carry children or babies in the climber. Shoes are required and heels are not allowed. No bags or water bottles are permitted in the climber either.

There is a cafe (Spoonz) that is open from 10:30am – 3pm. You may also bring your own food and eat it in the designated areas.
