Burton Barr Central Library

We checked out the Burton Barr location, part of the Phoenix Public Library family and almost forgot there were books there too! There’s so much to explore!🤩

Each play station has a different theme with different activities. These bilingual play stations have games that include sensory, learning, matching and trivia fun. There’s even a nursing nook so mamas can feed babies with some privacy.🚌

There’s an outdoor area (children’s garden) for getting out more wiggles and eating snacks.

BabyTime is 10am Mondays and 10am Saturdays. (Birth-24 months), ToddlerTime is 10am Wednesdays (24-36 months) and Family Storytime is 10am Fridays (Birth- 5 years). (Free, no need to sign up beforehand just check the site for cancellations before you go!)📕

There is also a Families First Resource Center at this location which provides free family resources, child activities and parenting education. www.phoenix.gov/education/familiesfirst or firstthingsfirst.org. 💻

The Summertime reading program kicks off June 1st and rewards kids with free books and other giveaways. Attend the kickoff event June 1, 10am at the Juniper Library or sign up online! 📖
